Âé¶¹tv´«Ã½ Staff Meeting Celebrates Achievements, Unveils Future Plans, And Welcomes New Members

Âé¶¹tv´«Ã½ recently held its vibrant "Staff Meeting 2025 – Meeting No. 2," an event dedicated to celebrating achievements, fostering community, outlining strategic advancements, and recognizing the outstanding contributions of its faculty and staff. The meeting underscored Âé¶¹tv´«Ã½'s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, research innovation, and robust community building.

The event commenced with a warm welcome by the Master of Ceremony, Aminath Raushan Siyaan, HR Officer. This was followed by a beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran by Mariyam Saula Waheed, Administrative Officer at the Centre for Postgraduate Studies, setting a respectful and inspiring tone for the proceedings.

A key highlight was the "Staff Café Talk," featuring an inspiring address from the distinguished professional, Dr. Mohamed Shafeeq, former Minister of Finance. Following his insightful talk, Rector Dr. Ahmed Anwar presented Dr. Shafeeq with a Certificate of Appreciation as a gesture of heartfelt gratitude for his invaluable contributions.

The Âé¶¹tv´«Ã½ family proudly welcomed 24 new staff members who joined between March and May 2025. Each new colleague was invited to the stage to introduce themselves, sharing their name, designation, department, and their motivations for joining Âé¶¹tv´«Ã½, further enriching the institution's diverse talent pool.

Strategic Directions and Championing Scholarly Pursuits

The meeting featured important presentations on the college's future:

Dr. Ali Najeeb, Vice Rector, provided crucial updates on the college's strategic direction, outlining the path forward for continued growth and success.

Moosa Mohamed Manik, Director of the Institute for Academic Development, detailed the highly successful Âé¶¹tv´«Ã½ Book Writing Grant 2024. This initiative, launched to support and motivate staff to write and publish books across various disciplines, aims to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

The grant areas for 2024 included Business, IT, Engineering, Tourism & Hospitality, Nursing & Allied Health, Education, Shariah & Law. A total of 13 applications were received, with an impressive 11 applications being accepted for the grant. A significant total of Rf 457,000 was allocated to support these scholarly endeavors.

Rector Dr. Ahmed Anwar presented the grants to the following recipients of the 2024 Book Writing Grant:
